About us
Animista Cine is a production company specializing in auteur cinema, focusing on social, artistic, cultural, historical, and human development themes. Founded by producer-director-actor Germán Ormaechea in late 2021, Animista seeks out daring narratives across all mediums (fiction, documentary, animation) that can generate impact by conveying a conscious, anti-war, anti-fascist, and anti-racist worldview.
Our path
Animista Cine is making progress on co-productions with Spain, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, and others. Their film *The Message*, a co-production with Argentina and Spain, won a Silver Bear at the last Berlinale and will be presented at Horizontes Latinos in 2025.
